This Privacy Policy describes how Dial It handles information when you use the app, including core app features, transaction-related tools, analytics, notifications, and optional SMS transaction tracking.

Dial It is designed to help you manage mobile money activity with more context and less manual work. Some features work on your device, while others use cloud services so the app can provide history, insights, notifications, continuity across app sessions or devices, and service improvements.

Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, Dial It may collect or process the following information:

  • Device and app information, such as app version, device details, usage dates, and notification tokens.
  • Transaction and ledger information, such as transaction details, counterparties, merchant details, balances, fees, identifiers, and feature-related metadata.
  • Contacts information, when you grant Contacts permission, so Dial It can help you select recipients and display contact names for phone numbers. Dial It does not upload your full address book.
  • Merchant records you create or save in the app, including merchant details and related identifiers.
  • Analytics and diagnostic information, such as app events, feature usage, session information, error logs, and configuration information used to operate and improve the app.
  • Support information you choose to provide when contacting us by email or other support channels.

SMS Tracking

Dial It does not automatically read all SMS messages on your device. SMS tracking works only when you choose to share selected message text with Dial It through supported automation or app features.

When enabled, Dial It uses the information you choose to share to help show transaction history and related account information in the app. We use this information only to provide and improve Dial It features.

You can disable SMS tracking at any time by turning off the related automation, permission, or app setting on your device.

How We Use Information

We use information collected or processed by Dial It to:

  • Provide USSD dialing, transaction history, ledger views, merchant tools, and spending insights.
  • Calculate and display Dialer Splits suggestions and savings.
  • Sync eligible app data so your history and settings remain available across app sessions or devices.
  • Send notifications and important app or service updates when notifications are enabled.
  • Analyze feature usage, improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and improve SMS parsing accuracy.
  • Respond to support requests and enforce app security.

Third-Party Services

Dial It uses Firebase and related Google services to operate parts of the app, including analytics, messaging, and configuration. These services may process information such as identifiers, analytics events, notification tokens, and configuration data on our behalf. We require service providers that process user information for Dial It to protect that information consistently with this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

Contacts and Permissions

Dial It asks for Contacts permission only when a feature needs it, such as choosing a recipient or matching a phone number to a contact name. Contacts are used for these in-app features, and you can grant, deny, or revoke Contacts access in your device settings.

Dial It may also request notification permission so it can send app updates or transaction-related notifications. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.

Data Storage and Security

Some Dial It data is stored locally on your device. Some data is synced to cloud services so the app can provide history, optional SMS tracking, analytics, notifications, service improvements, and app continuity.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Dial It, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and improve app reliability. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information processed by Dial It.

Your Choices

You can control your information in several ways:

  • Disable SMS tracking by removing or turning off the related automation, permission, or app setting.
  • Revoke Contacts or Notifications permission in your device settings.
  • Delete transaction or ledger entries where the app provides deletion controls.
  • Contact us to ask questions or request deletion of information associated with your device/account where applicable.

Children's Privacy

Dial It is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Links to Other Sites

Our website and app-related pages may link to third-party sites, such as app stores, social pages, or support channels. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
